Someone on Youtube asked me to do something about the engine sounds. Although I think they are awesome, some people don't appreciate the constant roar of a V8 or V12. So I've made an option menu where you can lower the engine volume. I also added the option to lower the tire sounds.
In the future I'd like to add the original engine sounds from Outrun, Turbo Outrun, Super Hang-On, and for the Countach, the sound of the Porsche in Chase HQ. I already finished the Outrun sound, now the rest...
I got sick of the rubber banding of the opponent. So I went ahead and added a new formula to the corner speed calculation. Now it takes into account the amount of lanes. Although the opponent still won't follow the ideal racing line, he will pretend that he does and therefore will go faster through the corners, like he's using the whole width of the road. When he's using the maximum corner speed, he's pretty much impossible to beat, so I lowered it, depending on you transmission choice.
There's still a bit of rubber banding to keep it fair, but not that much.
Oh and I'm working on the final stage's scenery. It will become Los Angeles from Turbo Outrun. It's not finished yet, but it looks promising, right?
